White Mountain Tours is Colorado’s highest snowmobile tour company and has been providing a safe and unique experience for guests under the same local ownership for more than 25 years. Whether you choose our standard two-hour tour over groomed high mountain terrain or a high performance ride through powder-filled back country bowls, our guides will show you the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains at elevations from 11,000 to 12,000 feet at the 'top of the world'.
White Mountain Tours has a fleet of Polaris 550 RMKs and Grand Touring snowmobiles. Complimentary coveralls and boots are available, but wearing personal ski apparel is perfectly acceptable and recommended. Helmets are provided and mandatory. Dress warm and bring warm gloves, sunglasses or goggles for eye protection, as we do not provide these items.
Our veteran guides will always go the extra mile to accommodate the riding abilities of their guests. They are experts with decades of combined experience in the mountains and impressive wilderness safety credentials.
The Prospector Tour is for beginners, families with children and adults who want to ride together on the same snowmobile. The riding area is around Turquoise Lake with 14,000' mountains being the beautiful scenic backdrop. County roads in the vicinity are closed to vehicles in the winter so this tour provides miles of smooth riding on groomed trails as well as playing in endless snowy meadows. Parents will appreciate a brief stop so children up to 70 pounds can take a turn driving a kiddie snowmobile while other guests enjoy free-time riding.
Single Riders are $120, Passengers 7 and up are $65.00, Children 4, 5, and 6 are $30.00 with an adult driver.
All riders must sign a standard liability waiver before touring.
From Copper Mountain Exit 195, go south on Highway 91 for 14 miles. Look for mile marker 7 on the left, slow down, see our blue signs on the right side of 91, turn left into our driveway well marked with colorful flags. Notice the 100' tower in the parking lot, it is very visible when proceeding south. Meet your guides and check in at the red two-story building.
Wear warm winter clothing. complimentary coveralls and boots are available if needed. Be sure to bring gloves and goggles. Helmets are provided. Ski Helmets are not appropriate for snowmobiling.

You don’t have to be an experienced snowmobiler to book this ride. This popular two-hour tour is perfect for adventurous people looking for a thrilling fast moving ride. Riders will enjoy scenic views of 14,000 foot mountains, trails through the forest, and snowy alpine meadows in the shadow of the Continental Divide. This is superb riding at altitudes from 10,000 to 12,600 feet. The Performance Tour is restricted to single riders, no passengers are allowed. Perhaps you will return to experience one of our more extreme tours on another day. Free transportation is available. Helmets are mandatory and provided. Complimentary coveralls and boots are available if needed, but personal warm winter apparel is appropriate and recommended. Guests must bring goggles or sunglasses as eye protection is not provided.
Winter Snowcat & Zipline Tour
Escape the busy ski areas and towns. Come to White Mountain's PRIVATE paradise and enjoy back country views where not a single hotel or condo can be seen. Only our guests are allowed to access this pristine area. Relax and enjoy the views in cozy comfort as the powerful Snow Coach climbs up through the forest to the first zip line area at 11,500' of altitude. Here you will find the deepest snow levels in the area. Look for wildlife as the driver points areas of interest while giving commentary about the historic mining history of the area. Our Zip Line Guides are certified on the course and will accompany guests as they fly from area to area on lines from 400 to 950'. Departure Decks are flat on the side of the mountain for easy access. All SIX separate sections have Double Overhead Cables for safety and distinctly different terrain. The automatic braking system assures stress free landings. Fly SIDE BY SIDE on 5 TWIN lines over deep canyons and remote alpine meadows. Zip Line #6, THE BIG NUGGET is a TRIPLE ZIP which lands on the 100' SKY TOWER. Return to earth on wide stairways and enjoy the photo opportunities from six viewing decks. Our zip line is registered with the State of Colorado and inspected yearly according to the highest standard
