The Five Hour Rails And Zipline Tour
The Five Hour RAILS AND ZIP LINE TOUR: The Ultimate! Check in at the Base Camp then receive your voucher to ride on the Leadville Colorado & Southern Railroad. Leave your car in our parking lot then it’s all aboard our shuttle to the Railroad Station in Leadville where you’ll meet the engineer and train crew for a journey back in history. Join visitors and locals as the train climbs 1,000 feet above the valley floor, traveling through untouched wilderness areas with some of the most spectacular views in the Rocky Mountains, including possible views of zip liners gliding overhead. When you reach our Private Preserve high on the Continental Divide, the train will stop at about 11,000’ of altitude. Guides will be waiting to escort guests from the train to our cozy high mountain yurt where a hearty box lunch prepared by a Leadville Restaurant will be served. After flight school and a training zip line, guests will step off the first deck at 11,500’ to soar over vast canyons, high alpine meadows and bubbling brooks. Our rugged sturdy decks are flat on the mountainside, providing easy access, and slant slightly downward. Two professional zip line guides will accompany flyers during the tour, providing friendly help and assistance in all aspects of the experience. See where miners toiled to find gold in more than 40 historic gold mining claims on the property. At the end of the tour, guests return to base camp and their vehicles.
